ROGER. Percussion 

 

 

I recently retired as a Chartered Surveyor and am now in a position to pursue some hobbies and interests. I have always been a big music fan, having been going to Concerts since I was 14. I have a wide range of music tastes, from Prog Rock, to Rock, Blues and Acid Jazz. I was never encouraged or thought I had any ability for a musical instrument, until I found Ola Samba about 4 years ago and with regular rehearsals, was soon playing Gigs in the area, much to my surprise! About 2 years ago, I was invited to join a few U3A guys who were wanting to play music, and so MU3AC was formed. Also, I have recently formed a 3 piece acoustic Band called The Skiffleites, so there’s plenty going on now! I play the Timba, Cajons, congas and other assorted percussion. The ethos I have, and I share with many of my colleagues, is we enjoy playing music, we hope you enjoy listening to it, and if we can make some money for Charity, then everyone’s a winner!
